Even used an impact tool to try to help break them loose, but they are a bitch to get to. It definitely sounds like your Torx bolts are frozen. Some WD-40 or a penetrating oil might help to unfreeze them. When I removed mine I used a half-inch socket wrench with a long extension. While it required some amusing contortions to get around the wheel and forks, both bolts came loose without too much difficulty.
